Together with our industrial partners we develop the OLED technology to a pilot product ready for marketing. This includes the development of new materials and production processes.
We work on making OLED technology reality. Our goal is to develop new materials and
device technologies for new products. Thus, we aim at synthesizing new polymers for
hole and electron transport and to investigate the injection and charge transport
phenomena in multilayer systems. We also do electrochemical measurements to estimate
the HUMO and LUMO energy levels. Understanding these processes is necessary for the
development of polymer light emitting diodes and displays. In order to develop the
fabrication technology for the next OLED generation on glass, opaque and flexible
substrates we unite the know-how of our industrial partners. We cooperate with Optrex
Europe GmbH and with different institutes of the Fraunhofer Gesellschaft, especially
with the microelectronic division. This OLED cooperation enables us to cover the
complete process from basic research and development to fabrication, integration and
mounting technology for the displays.
